Your mission

The Innovation Support and Blue Skills Team supports the wider blue economy ecosystem to find the knowledge and resources they need to realise innovative solutions and sell them on the market. We develop educational resources and facilitate the exchange of information to foster collaborative initiatives that promote the sustainable blue economy and citizen engagement in the sector. Furthermore, we manage BlueBioMatch, a matchmaking platform for blue economy actors to connect, exchange and grow. On the platform, stakeholders can find projects, products, and opportunities, such as mentorships.

• Supporting project management and administration, including:
  1. Conducting desk research.
  2.  Participating in meetings and  taking minutes .
  3. Developing and organising data in spreadsheets in excel. 
  4. Supporting in the organisation of events and workshops (in-person and online)
  5. Collecting information and filing it for use by the team on internal IT systems.

• Supporting project communications, including:
  • Social media content creation (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Website content development
  • Simple graphic design, including social media visuals
  • Development of presentations, brochures, and newsletters.
• General office or administrative tasks

Your profile

• You are either enrolled in a university in Germany OR you are an EU citizen enrolled in university in the EU.
• You are available for at least 3 months full-time.
• You are looking for a mandatory internship that is part of your degree starting in 2025 or 2026.
• You are able to relocate to Berlin for the duration of your internship.
• You are proficient in English. German or another European language is a plus.
• Digital native with good knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to create attractive digital content (e.g. Canva, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
• You are a fast learner and can easily switch between conflicting tasks and priorities. You are proactive and solution oriented.
• You are motivated, flexible, and open-minded, and feel comfortable in a multicultural environment. You communicate effectively and enjoy working together with colleagues and project partners.
• A general understanding of European political processes and institutions, especially around sustainability, climate and environmental protection is a plus, but not mandatory.

About us

sPro - sustainable-projects is a consultancy specialized in the coordination of transnational projects, mostly funded by the European Commission. Our topical focus lies in projects dealing with the sustainable use of the sea. We run the permanent secretariat of the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth and act as coordinators of the EU Mission Ocean in the Baltic and North Sea. SUBMARINER is the cooperation platform for actors/initiatives across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond who promote innovative and sustainable uses of marine resources.

We have a long-term portfolio of over 30 large-scale projects and operate with an extensive network of trusted cooperation partners from all European countries, encompassing research, industry, business development, NGOs, and the public sector. We currently have 40 employees coming from a wide range of different academic backgrounds with more than 15 different nationalities.
